Former MBA state tournament MVP banquet set for Aug. 18

Be sure to head over to the 2022 MBA state tournament website to RSVP for the MVP banquet set for Aug. 18 at the Faribault American Legion. The event will begin with a social hour at 6 p.m. followed by a dinner and reception to recognize former state tournament MVPs. 

Also, check out an on-going installment of MVP biographies compiled by Bill Nelson. Nelson conducted interviews with as many former MVPs as he could reach through the past 70 years. You're not going to want to miss them. The first two -- Ed Piancentini of the 1950 Fergus Falls championship team and Don Nierengarten of the 1973 championship Cold Spring team are posted.
