The Board of Directors of the Minnesota Baseball Association will meet twice this weekend. On Saturday, March 10, 2012 the Directors will meet at 1:00 P.M. at the Holiday Inn in St. Cloud.
Director Zellmann reported that there is a very limited agenda. He said that there are some requests for tournament sanctions and approvals to play teams that are not members of the MBA. A reminder: all summer invitational tournaments must be sanctioned by the Board of Directors. There is no fee for this unless the tournament isn’t sanctioned. Then there is a penalty of $50. Sanction forms may be downloaded from the MBA website.
There is also a request by Northfield to be reclassified from Class C to Class B.
On Sunday, March 11, 2012 the Board of Directors will meet again at 1:00 P.M. at the Holiday Inn in St. Cloud. This meeting will be with officers and other interested baseball people from every league in the state. Everyone is invited to attend.
The Board will review the 2012 handbook. This will involve going over all new rules and reviewing any questions that any league or individual has on the handbook. All leagues will get their league supplies—rule books and state forms—with which to run their summer programs.
This is the meeting to ask your questions and get clarification on all things that are related to the Minnesota Baseball Association. See you in St. Cloud this weekend.
