Class A State Tourney Field Set

The Class A State Tournament is set to begin on Saturday, August 11 at Red Haddox Field in Bloomington. Twelve teams fill the field, but only four will advance to the double-elimination final weekend on August 17-18-19.

Class A Bracket (updated 8/7/12)

Eight games will be played this weekend (four each day):

Saturday: River Pirates vs. Minneapolis Lakers, 10:00 a.m. – Winner advances to play the Minnetonka Millers on Sunday at 10:00 a.m. (winner is Team #1)

Saturday: Bloomington Bandits vs. St. Anthony Hogs, 1:00 p.m. – Winner advances to play the Minneapolis Angels on Sunday at 1:00 p.m. (winner is Team #2)

Saturday: Red Roosters vs. St. Louis Park, 4:00 p.m. – Winner advanced to play the St. Paul Capitals on Sunday at 4:00 p.m. (winner is Team #3)

Saturday: Metro Merchants vs. St. Paul Shamrocks, 7:00 p.m. – Winner advances to play the Stockmen’s Irish on Sunday at 7:00 p.m. (winner is Team #4)

The second weekend (Aug. 17-19) will play out as a double elimination between the four teams. Team #1 will play Team #4 on Friday at 6:00 p.m. and Team #2 will face Team #3 at 8:30 p.m. Three games will be played Saturday (12:00, 3:00 and 6:00 p.m.) and the title game will be played on Sunday at noon – second game at 3:00 p.m. if both teams have one loss each.
