Class A Final Four Set

The Class A State Tournament is down to four teams who will compete for the title on August 17-18-19.

Class A Bracket (updated 8/13/12)

Here are the results of the Class A State Tourney games over the weekend:

8/11/12:

• 10:00 AM – St. Paul River Pirates 6, Minneapolis Lakers 3
• 1:00 PM – Bloomington Bandits 8, St. Anthony Hogs 2
• 4:00 PM – St. Louis Park 6, North St. Paul Roosters 5
• 7:00 PM – Metro Merchants 11, St. Paul Shamrocks 4

8/12/12:

• 10:00 AM – Minnetonka Millers 10, St. Paul River Pirates 0 (Minnetonka’s Nate Melek threw a no-hitter)
• 1:00 PM – Minneapolis Angels 7, Bloomington Bandits 6 (Angels hit walk-off homerun to win in bottom of 9)
• 4:00 PM – St. Paul Capitals 9, St. Louis Park 3
• 7:00 PM – Stockmen’s Irish 16, Metro Merchants 9

Beginning Friday, the final four teams will compete in a double elimination format with these pairings:

Minnetonka Millers vs. Stockmen's Irish - 6:00 p.m.

Minneapolis Angels vs. St. Paul Capitals - 8:30 p.m. 

Saturday will have three games:

12:00 p.m. - Friday's losers 

3:00 p.m. - Friday's winners 

6:00 p.m. - Winner of 12pm game vs. loser of 3pm game 

Sunday's Championship Game starts at noon, if necessary game begins at 3:00 p.m.

All games are played at Red Haddox Field in Bloomington.
