Aitkin put up 2 runs in the bottom of the 2nd when Carson Kullhem singled with 1 out. Jake Ince then walked with 2 outs, bringing up Nathan Ehnstorm. He hit a pop up to 2nd that was misplayed for an error, allowing Kullhem to score and Ince to make 3rd. Zach Ehnstrom then came through with an rbi single to score Ince and make it 2-0.
In the top of the 6th, the Bulldogs got on the board when Brian Kiel doubled and eventually scored on a Steam error to make it 2-1.
In the bottom of the 7th, Landon Janzen doubled with 2 outs and Jake McGuire got hit by a pitch. John McGuire then singled to drive in Janzen to give Aitkin a 3-1 lead after 7 innings.
Aitkin then put the game away with 5 runs in the bottom of the 8th, including an rbi double by Nathan Ehnstrom, an rbi single from Landen Janzen, John McGuire was hit by a pitch to force in a run to make it 6-1. a wild pitch and a walk to Tucker Holm for the 8-1 final score.
