Meeting called to order by President Richter at 11:00 AM
Roll call showed all Board Members present
Motion Brennan, second Nagel, carried to approve the minutes of the previous meeting
It is duly noted that the following players notified the MBA of their desire to play in a collegiate wood bat league and return to play with their respective teams provided that they play in 4 league games for playoff eligibility:
Brett Degagne, Sauk Rapids Cyclones to play with the St. Cloud Rox
Anthony Mrosla, Coon Rapids Redbirds to play with the Alexandria Blue
Luke Becker, Fairmont Martins to play with Dodge City, KS
Riley Sweeney, Victoria Vics to play in a Colorado Collegiate League
Tony Ksjoling, Vicoria Vics to play in a Kansas Collegiate League
Tyler Wolfe, Delano to play in the Alaska Collegiate League
Zach Muckenhim, Delano to play with the Alexandria Blue Anchors
Toby Hanson, Delano to play with the St. Cloud Rox
Parker Havel, Bemidji Bucks to play with Eagle Valley
Colin Leif, Bemidji Bucks to play for the Colorado Bears
Tom Imholte, Beaudreau’s Saints to play for the Mankato Moondogs
Motion Forsman, second Roufs, carried to approve the following players to play out of state and with their MBA teams:
Andrew Wellie, Meire Grove, to play for Fargo and Meire Grove
Casey Gray, Dumont Saints to play for Harrisburg, SD and Dumont
Motion Forsman, second Barry, carried to approve Pelican Rapids tournament sanction 6/19-6/21
Motion Kreger, second Nagel, carried to approve Kevin Dixon to play for Savage utilizing the Heritage Rule
Motion Roufs, second Kreger, carried to allow Blue Earth to play Spooner, WI on 7/18
Motion Barry, second Nagel to approve the Class C State Tournament Schedule for 2015. Class B will be posted on Sunday, August 22nd.
OLD BUSINESS
The Slide Rule at home plate was discussed and tabled to our October meeting to review in further detail at that time.
No new business
With no further business motion Nagel, second Kreger, carried to adjourn the meeting at 12:45 pm
Next scheduled MBA Board meeting will be Thursday, August 20th at 7:00 at the Riverside Inn located in Cold Spring at which time the Board will also be meeting with chairpersons, and key committee members from Cold Spring, Watkins and St. Cloud to go over tournament details.
