Enjoy your time in the limelight! In the meantime, with the season over, it is not time to sit and rest after the busy, long summer of baseball.

There is still work to do at your ballparks before you shut them down for the winter. It is always best to put your field to bed ready to play for next spring.

Drier, cooler weather make it the best time of the year to perform field upgrades and shutdown maintenance to ensure a quick and easy opening next spring.

DuraEdge has created a checklist of what we suggest should be done to ballfields leading up to and through the winter months. Here is a pdf of the checklist for you to print out so you can go through the list and get your work accomplished.

And by all means, if you have any questions regarding issues with your field that you aren’t sure how to fix, send me an email at pzwaska@duraedge.com. When finished you can hunker down for the rest of fall and winter and enjoy watching your favorite off-season sports on TV, traipsing through the woods after that elusive buck, and squatting over an open hole in the ice jigging for your favorite pan fish or watching for that flag on the tip-up to signal that you snagged that trophy game fish!

Enjoy your holidays, DuraEdge will be ready for you again in 2026 when the calendar turns and the snow melts. We’ve enjoyed serving you this past season and are proud to be a sponsor of your Minnesota Baseball Association.
