7-27-2020 Emergency MBA Board meeting in Glencoe
All board members present except for Schleper, who was excused
State tournament sites were discussed at length. The board unanimously chose Springfield and Milroy to host the Class C tourney and Shakopee the Class B tourney. Gaylord and Marshall will serve as back up sites due to rainouts.
Nagel reported following his meeting last Friday with MDH - The following guidelines will be followed at all state tournament sites to comply with the COVID-19 guidelines.
250 Fans will be admitted for each game, this includes all children.
Ticket prices will be seven dollars across the board, this includes all children. There will be no player or league officer passes this year. Tickets will be sold mainly online. We will offer tickets to the two teams playing in the tournament game first, if they do not purchase all 250, the remaining tickets will be sold on a first come basis at the ballpark. Teams involved in the games on the first weekend of the state tourney will have until Wednesday of that week at 5 p.m. to wire the money for their ticket order to the MBA bank in Hamburg. Once the money is received the tickets will be emailed to each team. Each ticket will have a COVID-19 checklist to be filled out prior to getting to the game. All ticket sales are final and non-refundable. Ticket holders who do not enter the stadium by the end of the second inning will risk losing their seat to walk up ticket sales unless prior arrangements have been made. The MBA will have a cell number that ticket holders can call if they are running late. The second weekend will work the same. The final weekend of ticket sales will be all at the gate due to teams having multiple games with more details to follow.
Committees were set up adding the two new board members Jason Kuerschner and John Gerads to the mix.
