Sobieski #9 hitter Owen Bode went 4-5 with a triple and 4 rbi to power the Skis to an 11-2 win over the visiting Fort Ripley Rebels on Sunday.
Sobieski got on the board in the bottom of the 1st on a lead-off but single from Beau Thoma. Thoma would eventually score on a wild pitch.
The Skis made it 2-0 in the 2nd on Beau Thoma’s rbi single that scored Collin Eckman to make it 2-0.
Fort Ripley tied things up in the top of the 3rd on a 2-run Homer from Mason Argir.
Sobieski loaded the bases in the bottom of the 3rd on singles from Dusty Parker and Alex Thoma and Riley Czech reaching to set up Zach Opatz for a bases loaded walk to make it 3-2. Owen Bode then cleared the bases with a 3-run triple to center to make it 6-2 after 3 innings.
Alex Thoma added an rbi double in the 4th to make it 7-2, then in the bottom of the 7th, they added their final 4 runs. Owen Bode made it 8-2 with an rbi single, Beau Thoma doubled home 2 more to make it 10-2, then Dusty Parker ground into a fielders choice to drive in Beau Thoma with the final run to make it 11-2.
