In the only night game on Sunday, the Pierz Brewers remained unbeaten with a 16-4 win over the Pierz Bulldogs at Hellie Field. Pete Schommer ended the game with a 3-run Homer in the bottom of the 7th.
The Pierz Bulldogs got an early lead in this one on a 1st inning rbi single from Max Barclay.
But the Pierz Brewers then put up 3 in the bottom of the 1st when Gunnar Wicklund scored on an error and Kaden Kruschek slammed a 2-run Homer to make it 3-1 after 1.
In the bottom of the 2nd, Gunnar Wicklund and Preston Veith had rbi singles as the Brewers built their lead to 5-1.
A Nathan Solinger sacrifice fly scored Phil Zynda in the bottom of the 3rd to make it 6-1.
In the bottom of the 4th, it was a 2-run single by Kaden Kruschek that made it 8-1.
The Bulldogs socred on an error in the top of the 5th and it was an 8-2 game, then another Brewers error allowd another run in and it was 8-3.
In the bottom of the 5th, with runners at 2nd and 3rd with 1 out, a sacrifice bunt by Michael Nezerka scored Ryan Stuckmayer, and right behind him came Nathan Solinger as 2 runs scored on the bunt to make it 10-3.
In the bottom of the 6th , a bases loaded walk to Nathan Solinger made it 11-3, an error allowed Phil Zynda to score and Ryan Stuckmayer scored on a wild pitch to make it 13-3.
The Bulldogs got a run in the top of the 7th on a Max Barclay rbi single that scored Reese Young to make it 13-4.
In the bottom of the 7th, Jesse Marshik led off with a pinch-hit single, but after a pair of strikeouts, Chuck Boser to put runners on 1st and 2nd. Peter Schommer then came up and hammered a 30run Homer to left to end the game due to the 10-run rule with a 16-4 Brewers win.
