In the bottom of the 4th with new Fort Ripley pitcher Tyler Gruye on the mound, Kamden Happke led off with a sharp single to left. Kolten Happke then put down a sacrifice bunt and when the Rebels left 3rd base undefended, Kamden Happke took advantage and went from 1st to 3rd on the bunt. Happke then scored on a wild pitch to give the Lakers a 5-2 lead after 4 innings.
In the top of the 5th, Fort Ripley got a 1-out infield single from Alex Haapajoki followed by a single from Jack Tiemann. Haapajoki eventually scored on a wild pitch from Preston Rocheleau to make it 5-3.
In the bottom of the 5th, Ryan Diers smashed a lead-off Homer well over the fence in right-center to put Pierz ahead 6-3 after 5 innings.
Ryan Chmielewski took over from Preston Rocheleau after 5 innings and the Rebels were still down 6-3 going to the top of the 8th. Isaac Hanson doubled to deep center with 1 out in the 8th and later scored on an rbi single from Jack Schafer to make it 6-4. Fort Ripley had runners at 2nd and 3rd with 2 outs when Ryan Chmielewski got Jake Miller to fly out to left to end the inning.
